HOMETOWN
My name is Ari, as long as I'm West
Kalimantan. I have lived in West Kalimantan for a long time, around 18 years,
as long as I live in Kalimantan there are so many sorrows that I have passed
with my family, and many experiences that I have gained in the city where I
live, from the environment, culture and surrounding communities . Where I live
there are famous tourist attractions in West Kalimantan, especially the Sintang
area, which is the dark hill.
BUKIT KELAM
Kelam Hill is one of a variety of
beautiful tourist attractions in Indonesia. Kelam Hill is also known as
"Bukit Batu" and "Bukit Raya, like a rock in Australia that we
know as Uluru or Ayers Rock which has been recognized as the largest and highest
hill in the world, Bukit Kelam also has another designation, namely "Black
Rock" which is also included as the 14th largest Monolith Stone Hill in
the world.
KERUPUK BASAH
Not only is the tourist area run from West
Kalimantan, but there is also a very famous culinary place in West Kalimantan,
which is wet crackers. Wet Crackers is a typical West Kalimantan food that is
very well known among culinary lovers in West Kalimantan. Processed foods that
are made from fish if at a glance look like a typical Palembang pempek. The
difference between Palembang and wet crackers can be seen from its long
elongated shape ranging from 15 to 25 centimeters with a diameter of about 2-3
centimeters.
Wet crackers are usually made from the
basic ingredients of fish, namely toman fish or belida fish. The snacks that
are processed with a small mixture of this flour are steamed first and are best
enjoyed while still hot. The feeling of chewing, sweet and spicy fish smells
when you eat it. And this wet cracker is one of the culinary delights that I
really like from West Kalimantan.
GAWAI DAYAK
And there is one more, namely the Dayak
device that is often done in my area, every once a year the people of
Kalimantan usually hold a Dayak device. Dayak Gawai is a form of gratitude to
the creator for the abundance of rice harvest that the Dayak people feel. This
program is routinely carried out in every area in West Kalimantan, where the
arrangement is the opening of the Dayak Gawai Week (PGD) held in the City of
Pontianak, then continues to retreat to the cities east of West Kalimantan.
