B.J. Habibie

B.J. Habibie is a figure I really admire, not just me, Mr. B. Habibie managed to occupy the first position as the most admired figure in Indonesia. The former President of the Republic of Indonesia received an admiration score of 18.60 percent.

Kenpasih I admire Mr. Habibie What fascinated Indonesian people with Pak Habibie? The man born in Pare-Pare in 1936 ago could be said to be a technocrat and a successful entrepreneur. His name is not only famous in Indonesia, but also abroad.

When sitting on the high school bench, Pak Habibie's academic abilities were prominent compared to others, especially in exact lessons. He also became the most favorite student in his school at that time.

After graduating from high school, he continued to study at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). But on the way he moved to Germany because he got a scholarship from the government.

Habibie then chose the Department of Aviation Engineering, specializing in aircraft construction at the Rhein Westfalen Aachen Technische Hochschule (RWTH). Habibie successfully graduated with a cum laude honors Diploma! Imagine, overseas can cum laude.

Habibie's genius made him successful in his career. He once worked at a well-known aircraft company in Germany. Habibie then returned to Indonesia and became Minister of Research and Technology. He led 10 SOEs, and became the brain behind the making of the N250 Gatot Kaca aircraft, the first aircraft made in Indonesia.

Although Habibie became president with the shortest tenure, he managed to restore the Indonesian economy. In addition, under his leadership, the Anti-Monopoly Law and Regional Autonomy Law were born which were quite influential.

From there I really admire Mr. B.J. Habibie not only admired but I also learned a lot from his experience.

I remember the words of Pak Habibie, "One of the keys to happiness is to use your money for experience not for desire."

B.J. Habibie adalah tokoh yang sangat saya kagumi, bukan Cuma saya pak B.J. Habibie berhasil menempati posisi pertama sebagai tokoh yang paling dikagumi di Indonesia. Mantan Presiden Republik Indonesia ini mendapat skor kekaguman 18,60 persen.

Kenpasih saya mengagumi pak Habibie Apa sih yang bikin orang Indonesia terkagum-kagum dengan pak Habibie? Pria kelahiran Pare-Pare pada 1936 silam ini bisa dikatakan sebagai teknokrat dan pengusaha yang sukses. Namanya gak cuma terkenal di Indonesia, tapi juga di mancanegara.

Saat duduk di bangku SMa, kemampuan akademis pak Habibie emang menonjol dibanding yang lain, terutama dalam pelajaran eksakta. Dia juga jadi murid terfavorit di sekolahnya saat itu.

Setelah lulus SMA, dia melanjutkan kuliah di Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Namun di tengah jalan dia pindah ke Jerman karena mendapat beasiswa dari pemerintah.

Habibie lalu memilih jurusan Teknik Penerbangan, dengan spesialisasi konstruksi pesawat terbang di Rhein Westfalen Aachen Technische Hochschule (RWTH). Habibie berhasil lulus dengan gelar Diploma Ing predikat cum laude! Bayangin, di luar negeri bisa cum laude.

Kejeniusan Habibie itu yang bikin dia sukses dalam kariernya. Dia pernah bekerja di perusahaan pesawat terbang ternama di Jerman. Habibie kemudian pulang ke Indonesia dan menjadi Menteri Riset dan Teknologi. Dia memimpin 10 BUMN, dan jadi otak di balik pembuatan pesawat N250 Gatot Kaca, pesawat made in Indonesia pertama.

Meskipun Habibie menjadi presiden dengan masa jabatan terpendek, namun dia berhasil memulihkan ekonomi Indonesia. Selain itu, di bawah kepemimpinannya, lahir UU Anti-Monopoli dan UU Otonomi Daerah yang cukup berpengaruh.

Dari situ saya sangat mengagumi pak B.J. Habibie bukan hanya sekedar mengagumi tapi saya juga banyak belajar dari pengalaman beliau.

Kata-kata pak Habibie yang selam ini saya ingat adalah “Salah satu kunci kebahagiaan adalah menggunakan uang Anda untuk pengalaman bukan untuk keinginan.”
